Absolutely wonderful place. Basically the only reason not to stay here is if you’ve got a room in the actual castle, but assuming that you haven’t, this is the place to be. Lovely staff, big rooms with space if you need to reorganise your bag or whatever, a reasonable breakfast for 1.50 GBP every morning (though completely optional, the kitchen remains open if you want to buy your own cheerios and milk – or go all out and do a five course breakfast), and most importantly, free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the lounge. There’s even milk provided!
