Deep in the Highlands, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery lies Fort William, a Mecca for those with a spirit of adventure.

In the thick of the most dramatic and remarkable part of the Scottish Highlands. Glencoe, Glen Nevis and Ben Nevis are all near here too; Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, sits just around the corner and below it, Glen Nevis, perhaps Scotland’s prettiest glen, with its wonderful waterfalls and ancient pine forest. Dramatic and eerie, Glencoe awaits a few miles down the road for an excellent day trip.

You can start or finish the ‘West Highland Way’ in Fort William, hike or bike along mountain trails, go for a boat trip on the sea loch or just take it easy amidst the wonderful scenery. Even in winter Fort William stays busy with skiing, snow-boarding, mountaineering and ice-climbing.

Nestling on a hillside above the town, with wonderful views, our characterful and comfy hostel provides everything you’ll need after a day exploring, walking, cycling or one of a range of other activities. Our dorm rooms are small with a maximum of eight beds and all beds are sturdy and made with clean fitted sheets. In the evening put your feet up in our elegant lounge in front of a real fire or stroll down to the choice of local pubs. When the weather’s good maybe we’ll be having a barbecue on our patio so come and join us!

The hostel reception is open from 8am-11am and then from 5pm-10pm. If you arrive in the afternoon feel free to leave your bags and use the facilities, and then check-in between 5pm-10pm.

We do not accept stag or hens parties.
