You couldn’t wish for a more welcoming hostel than Oban Backpackers; from the moment I arrived, I was made to feel part of the family by both staff and other guests. The comfortable and spacious common area even boasts a real fire and a pool table, whilst the kitchen is very large and equipped with everything one could need. Breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit etc.) is available at a small additional charge, either by the item or all-inclusive. The location is very central, with the harbour within walking distance (a little further for the ferry terminal) and shops, takeaways, pubs and more almost on the doorstep. The whole place was spotlessly clean, with mattress and pillow protectors on the beds.
