The Kendal Mountain Festival is Coming to Edinburgh!
What is it?
For 18 years the Kendal Mountain Festival has been the premiere adventure film festival in the UK and this year they’re bringing their jaw dropping film festival to Edinburgh! The top adventure and outdoor specialists will be gathering to share the best of the industry. You can expect industry leaders, athletes, artists, explorers and inspirational speakers all under one roof for one of the year’s most anticipated outdoor events.
For the Scottish leg of the festival, there are 4 brilliant speakers lined up.

The Film Festival
Kendal is undoubtedly best known for its incredible adventure films. Dubbed the “Oscars of Outdoor Filmmaking”, the International Film Festival brings some of the most stunning, isolated places to life on the big screen as the most daring humans on earth show us the extremes human beings are capable of achieving. This year you can enjoy films such as Chasing Monsters (detailing Nick Moir’s photographic journey across Tornado Alley in the US), We Are Send (white river rafting some of the world’s most extreme waterfalls), Surfer Dan (some of the best surf spots on earth) and many more!
