Wee Dub Festival

1st – 3rd March, Edinburgh

Good vibes are taking over Edinburgh’s old town this weekend with the UK’s only festival dedicated to dub and reggae music. It will be a diverse weekend of gigs, clubs, workshops and food at venues including Bongo, La Belle Angele and Mash House.


Scotland Vegan Festival

9th March, Glasgow

Grab your fussy friends – it’s time to show them just how damn good vegan food can taste. The festival boasts 80+ fantastic stalls, world food caterers, exciting cookery demos, inspirational talks, interactive workshops, yoga and children’s activities running throughout the day. Entry is £3 per day on the door (under 16’s free) or £15 for VIP tickets in advance to include fast track entry and a goody bag full of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers.


Fife Whisky Festival

8 – 10 March 2019, Cupar

You can’t come to Scotland without sipping on some local tipples. Based around the Cupar Corn Exchange, the Fife Whisky Festival brings together over 30 distilleries and independent bottlers from all over Scotland showcasing their whisky wares. It’s the best of Scotland’s whisky under one roof.

Glasgow International Comedy Festival

14th – 31st March 2019, Glasgow

If you thought the only comedy scene in Scotland was the Edinburgh Fringe, think again. Glasgow International Comedy Festival not only has a bevy of big names, it’s also a brilliant chance to seek out exciting new talent. Ones to watch include Reginald D Hunter, Janey Godley, Larry Dean, Jerry Sadowitz, Catherine Bohart, Jasper Carrott, Garrett Millerick, Foil, Arms & Hog… the list goes on!


March into Pitlochry

22 – 23 March, Pitlochry

If the Wee Dub Festival didn’t tickle your musical fancy, fear not. There are plenty more music festivals this month, including this new one. March into Pitlochry began in 2018 with a mixture of genres – 20 bands in two days across two venues. The best bit though? It’s all for charity.


Aberdeen Jazz Festival

21 – 31 March, Aberdeen

Ten blissful days of jazz and blues held in venues across Aberdeen City. The jazz festival is packed with everything from jamming and workshops, to chilled out gigs on the green and late night sessions. Look out for some exciting big international names on the lineup.

Aye Write! – Glasgow’s Book Festival

14th – 31st March 2019, Glasgow

After all the music festivals this month, you might just need to settle in with a good book. Aye Write! is a book festival celebrating the rich variety of Glaswegian writing bringing the best of Scottish and international writers to the city.
