Six Nations Rugby

February 1 – March 16

The Six Nations Championship pits England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales against each other in a series of rugby matches. Can Scotland knock off current champions Ireland? Scotland’s first match is against Italy at Murrayfield Stadium, and while the game is sold out, there are plenty of Edinburgh venues to watch this match and all the others. The Pitt Market

February 2, Pitt St Leith. 12-10pm

As if we needed any more convincing that Leith is the hub for all things arts culture and food in Edinburgh! The Pitt Market reopens this Saturday for your weekly dose of street food, live music and booze. Food vendors include Wanderers Kneaded, Lost Bothy, barnacles & bones, Rost Eats, The Buffalo Truck and Melted, while Barney’s Beer and Smith & Gertrude will be slinging your drinks. Oh and it’s doggo friendly.

FebruaryFest is all about basic principles. Good beer, hearty food, great craic. What more do you need after a day out in the winter weather amidst the most breathtaking scenery?
