It is ideally located to explore the surrounding area with its variety of stunning landscapes and range of activities and places of interest.

Pitlochry Backpackers Hotel was originally an old Victorian hotel and is bursting with character. There are a range of rooms; dormitory (4-8 beds), twins and double rooms. The hostel is such a relaxing place to stay and unwind, with its big cosy lounge containing a pool table and comfy sofas. You might only think you’re staying one night but you’ll end up staying three or four – it’s that kind of place!

Best of all the hostel is only a stroll away from everything Perthshire has to offer. In just 5 minutes you can be at a tranquil loch with views through the trees to the hills above this gorgeous highland town. There are many wonderful walks to take from the hostel; to waterfalls, along rivers, through ancient forests, or up Ben Vrackie, the hill above the town. The area is also dotted with distilleries, castles and ancient standing stones all within easy reach.

Perthshire is also a big centre for adventure activities, including white-water rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, bungee jumping. Why not hire a bike at reception and get exploring, there are some fantastic trails. The Pitlochry staff are always friendly and willing to help, we can help you book tours or recommend places to visit to ensure you enjoy your stay.
