Inverness, capital of the Highlands, is set amongst some of Scotland's most fascinating attractions. The bustling town centre soon gives way to lochs, hills, forests and glens. Visit the beautiful ancient pine forest of Glen Affric, tranquil but deeply historic Culloden Battlefield, the 4,000-year-old standing stones at Clava Cairns or take a stroll down the river bank to the waterfront to try to glimpse the wild dolphins that frequent the nearby Moray Firth.

Famous Loch Ness lies just a few miles upstream and of course has its’ own special wild animal. Close to Inverness Castle, the intimate and lively Student Hotel enjoys wonderful panoramic views of the town and the mountains beyond.
